JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY) :
Offers direct social work services to physically, mentally, or emotionally disabled children and adults applying for SSI.
Provides a broad range of services, including applying for SSA programs, assisting clients with the appeal process, advising clients about benefits, providing necessary forms, assisting clients in completing forms, inform clients of SSA medical appointments, following up with SSA when necessary.
Also, resolve discrepancies, clarify issues for under and overpayments, track payments, adjudicate and authorize social security and non-paid placement.
Assist in establishing entitlement to benefits under social security programs. Obtains client information by interviewing clients, verifying information.
Determines eligibility by comparing client information to requirements. Contact SSA by phone-schedules appointments. Respond to incoming calls from SSA to answer questions and inquiries.
Provides financial information to SSA by researching and analyzing placement costs. Completes Representative Payee reports.
Prepares workbooks in Excel to retrieve and store data and making all records available for review if requested by SSA.
Provides benefit payment management for our clients who are incapable of managing their social security payments. Completes payee applications.
Report to SSA any changes or events that could affect the client’s payment. Provide necessary forms to SSA to continue benefits.
Process applications for social security numbers and provide necessary forms for the application process. Maintain a digital copy of the application and social security card through OnBase.
Advise children service staff about the social security card status and follow up with SSA when necessary. Reviews incoming court entries from Juvenile Court for required documentation per OAC rule and maintains a record in an online database.
Independently perform clerical functions (e.g., open mail manually and process, sort and when necessary, deliver mail to the proper recipients, gather data, completes dictation in SACWIS, search files, maintains statistical reports and other reports, and correspondence as required).
Handle time-sensitive mail accordingly and log data on the Excel sheet.
Reviews incoming Post Adoption Special Services Subsidy (PASSS) application packets for required documentation per OAC Rule.
Submits PASSS applications to panel for approval and denial. Creates all the PASSS cases in SACWIS and manages the approved applications by generating payments through the invoices submitted by the parents monthly.
Reviews and processes Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (ICAMA) cases received through ODJFS and processes ICAMA Medicaid.
Screen the child for appropriate Medicaid information in MITS, SACWIS, and OIES before creating ICAMA Medicaid.

Basic Requirements:

• Education. Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Experience/Education
One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level. Experience must demonstrate possession of advanced practice skills in a specialty area or in administration demonstrating progressively more professional competency and judgment. Candidate may have certification or other post-master's degree training from a nationally recognized professional organization or university that includes a defined curriculum/course of study and internship, or equivalent supervised professional experience.
Licensure/Certification
Individuals assigned as Supervisory Social Workers must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level, and must be able to provide supervision for licensure.
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities. In addition to the experience above, candidates must demonstrate all of the following KSAs:
• Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, and meet multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of supervisory duties which includes clinical supervision, consultation, negotiation with other departments and quality improvement.

The Dialysis program is one of the largest and busiest pediatric dialysis units in the country. Our center provides both in center hemodialysis and home-based peritoneal dialysis. Our highly trained nursing team works with the youngest and smallest dialysis patients. We work with the Fetal Care Center to provide acute dialysis care to neonates and infants born with kidney failure. We provide acute hemodialysis in inpatient and outpatient settings for patients who develop acute kidney injury (AKI) as a complication of a non-kidney related condition. Additionally, we work with the transplant team to ensure that our dialysis patients eventually receive a healthy kidney.
This is a .8 FTE (32 hours/week). Call is about 3-4 times in a pay period from 5pm-6:30am. RN's float between the chronic unit and acute patients on the floor. Acute weekends are every 3rd 6:30am-5pm scheduled + on-call from 5pm Saturday to 6:30am on Monday.
Chronic weekends are every other Saturday 6:30am-3pm (NO call)

The Dialysis program is one of the largest and busiest pediatric dialysis units in the country. Our center provides both in center hemodialysis and home-based peritoneal dialysis. Our highly trained nursing team works with the youngest and smallest dialysis patients. We work with the Fetal Care Center to provide acute dialysis care to neonates and infants born with kidney failure. We provide acute hemodialysis in inpatient and outpatient settings for patients who develop acute kidney injury (AKI) as a complication of a non-kidney related condition. Additionally, we work with the transplant team to ensure that our dialysis patients eventually receive a healthy kidney.
This is a .8 FTE (32 hours/week). Call is about 3-4 times in a pay period from 5pm-6:30am. RN's float between the chronic unit and acute patients on the floor. Acute weekends are every 3rd 6:30am-5pm scheduled + on-call from 5pm Saturday to 6:30am on Monday.
Chronic weekends are every other Saturday 6:30am-3pm (NO call)

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
• Associate/Diploma prepared RNs from ACEN, CCNE or NLN CNEA accredited institute with 2 yr. exp.

• Applies knowledge and understanding of the Quality, Outcomes Research, & Analytics (QORA) program functionality, features, data requirements, security, and minimum technology standards to engage new accounts. Develops and presents features and benefits in the sales process including the ROI of program participation, as well as opportunities for cross-selling of other Regional and National Association products, programs, and services. Recruits and engages volunteer leadership to champion the QORA success
• Collaborates closely with the assigned region team to develop and plan sales pipeline, account management, and site recruitment. Assesses regional regulatory requirements and market level systems of care activities to identify development opportunities
• Ensures accounts meet compliance with contracting processes and IT technology requirements for proper utilization of the GWTG registries, certification products, and outpatient QI activities
• Prepares and provides updates to management on leads and conversion of Quality Portfolio programs and products
• Calculates and manages sales goals for number of products and revenue targets through proper pricing models, multi-contract discounts and bundling opportunities for growing the book of business for the Quality Portfolio
